It’s come to our attention that a recent announcement about Tiromed was sent out to SOMA members. We’d truly like to thank Marty Knott, the National President, and Matt Palmer of the SOMA Board of Trustees and National Board!

We want to extend a warm welcome to all SOMA members and we encourage all of you to share your thoughts on the site with us. We’ve been up for 4 months and are still in beta mode but have big plans for making Tiromed better and more valuable to you! Similarly, it’s important that associations like SOMA and their membership have a voice on Tiromed. Let us know how we can better help empower that voice.

It’s great to see so many new faces on Tiromed and we hope that you will contribute to the direction and development of our new website! As always, everyone should feel free to contact us with troubleshooting, suggestions and/or any other questions about the site. Thanks again and enjoy!

Sincerely,

-Team Tiromed

Welcome Vital Signs!

Friday, January 5th, 2007

This month we are honored to host an article from Vital Signs, the University of Virginia’s only premedical newsletter. Vital Signs also has a website available where students can share experiences and read online papers.

Vital Signs has shared a piece entitled “Endocrinology and the Passion of Medicine: A Highly Acclaimed Doctors View” and it is available in the Premed resources section. Definitely check it out, especially if you are interested in Endocrinology and wish to be a competitive candidate for medical school.

Thanks again to Jordan, Andrew and the editorial team at Vital Signs! We hope to post more Vital Signs articles in 2007!
